Traffic and Construction Vehicles Around Groh P.S.

We have received a number of calls from parents regarding the construction vehicles in the neighbourhood not taking care around children during the bell time or other at other times in the area.  We made a call to Mattamy, who responded swiftly with the following request to subcontractors:

“I have received a call from Transportation Services in Waterloo in regards to children safety, as we have now moved into a new school year!

They would like to keep our construction team aware, that going forward, we must be aware of children walking to school in the community of Topper Woods.

I ask that you keep all constructions teams and trades aware of the schools bell times listed below, so we are cautious when driving in the community:      9:10am (allow for a 30-40 min bracket for those students running late)  Dismissal Time:  3:30pm

The Transportation Services has also requested to ask that all construction vehicles are to park on one side of the road to ensure all children are visible when walking on the street.
