The staff and students of Groh Public School were lucky to visit with Ontario’s Minister of Education Mitzie Hunter who spent time touring the school and getting to know our new learning environment.

Minister Hunter was joined by Daiene Vernile, MPP for Kitchener-Centre, Kathryn McGarry, MPP for Cambridge and a number of Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) trustees and senior staff.

Principal Helmut Tinnes toured our visitors around the Learning Commons, the music room, and gymnasium as well as one of our kindergarten and Grade 7 classes.

As the Ontario Ministry of Education funds new school builds, the Minister is always very interested to hear and see how school board’s use the funding to inspire, educate and build a foundation in key areas that will help unlock each student’s potential.
