It has been reported to us that there are a number of dog owners who bring their dogs onto school property after school hours during the week and on weekends. These dog owners may or may not be parents of our school. Although we ask that the community not bring their dogs onto school property, we do expect that they clean up after their pets while here.
There has been an increase in dog poop on the field and this is becoming an issue for us. We are asking all of our community members to be respectful of our school and to pick up their pet’s feces. As you can appreciate, we don’t want our students stepping or rolling in the feces when they are outside playing during the nutrition breaks.
If you notice someone who is not picking up the dog poop, we would ask that you kindly approach them and ask them to do so. If they refuse, don’t get into a confrontation. Remind them that children play here every day and that we want our yard to be “poop free”.
We all love our dogs and it is important that we all do our part to ensure that not only the dogs can walk safely around the community, but that our children have a safe and clean school yard in which to play.
We thank you in advance for your continued support of our students and school.
