Are you tired of selling items to your co-workers, purchasing things you really don’t have a use for, or eating a whole box of chocolates yourself? Would you like us to make fundraising easier? Could you benefit from a tax receipt?
WE HAVE THE ANSWER FOR YOU! MAKE A CHARITABLE TAX DONATION
On Monday, November 5th we are launching our annual fundraising campaign that will run from November 5-16th! Our school has grown considerably over the past year and we need your support!
Similarly to last year, we are asking parents to make an online financial contribution to Groh Public School through Waterloo Education Foundation Inc (WEFI). WEFI is a registered charitable foundation, which operates through the Waterloo Region District School Board. Unlike with other fundraisers, with WEFI donations, 100% of the money raised goes directly to the school to support items and activities that will enhance and enrich the educational and extra-curricular experience of our students.
More specifically, your contributions will support enhancements to the Project Based Learning opportunities that are identified by staff and administration, but not limited to:
- Providing 1-1 technology for all students
- Purchasing technology equipment for our Makerspace
- Creating a Home Reading Program
- Bringing in groups and / or speakers for assemblies
We are suggesting a donation of $20 per child or $50 per family, but any amount you choose will go a long way! For donations of $20 or more, you will receive a charitable tax receipt. Make your donation now via our WEFI site: Canada Helps

- Click on Donate Now. Enter the amount you choose to donate. Please donate by November 16th.
- Please choose Groh PS from the drop down menu under “Fund”.
- Complete the rest of the fields as directed and click “Complete Donation Now”.
- You will receive your tax donation slip via email.
