We are so pleased to see so many students and parents who are walking, biking and riding their scooters and skateboards to school every day.  It’s a healthy way of going to and from school as well as spending some quality time together as a family.  It is helping with some of the congestion that is still occurring in front of the school.
We want to remind everyone that when you are riding your bikes and/or scooter, that you should be wearing a certified CSA approved helmet.  Please read the attached flyer for more information regarding bike safety and concussions.  With what we know now about concussions, it is important that we ensure that as parents you take all precautions to ensure your child’s safety.  In addition, we are asking everyone to walk (not ride) their bikes, scooters and skateboards once they arrive on school property.  Please stay on the sidewalks and refrain from entering the parking lot at any time – this includes our “walkers” as well.  There have been a few times where students and/or parents have come out from between parked cars and have been nearly hit by a car or bus.  By following these simple guidelines, we will keep everyone safe.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
